About Children's Outreach Ministries

Children's Outreach Ministries at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren consists of three related ministries: Mechanic Grove Christian Child Care, Wee Friends Preschool, and Christian Love Around School Program. The Children's Outreach Ministries Board oversees these programs and is comprised of members of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren.

Mission Statement: Children's Outreach Ministries, with Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren as its partner, seeks to be:

• an environment where the love of Jesus is experienced as well as taught,
• an environment which is safe and nurturing, and
• a ministry which reaches into the community.

Charlene Hoffer

Charlene has been employed at Children's Outreach Ministries since August 2010. Charlene has a Bachelor's Degree in German Secondary Education from Eastern Baptist College. She then got certification in Early Education at Lock Haven University. She received her Masters Degree at Penn State in German Literature. She taught 1st grade for 15 years and is a naturally good administrator.
