Care Groups

Our Care Group Ministry is one of the ways we intentionally encourage each other in our faith and build committed disciples of Christ. In Acts 2:42 the believers in the early church met together regularly as they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. We believe that these 4 steps are an important way for each of us to become faithful disciples of Jesus.

Teaching:
Our Care Groups spend part of their meeting in the study of God's Word using a variety of different study materials. Each group has a leader who directs and encourages group members as they seek to learn more about God and his plan for their life.

Fellowship:
Our Care Groups are safe spaces where group members can share the joys and challenges they experience in their day-to-day faith journeys.

Breaking of Bread:
Many of our Care Group gatherings include the sharing of hospitality to accompany the spiritual food being shared at the gathering.

Prayer:
Our Care Groups regularly spend time in prayer as we praise and thank God for his work in our world and also ask God for help for the many needs and concerns that we experience in our daily lives.

Our Care Groups currently meet on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. There is also a Wednesday morning Mom's group, a Thursday morning Women's group, and a Saturday morning Men's group. For more information please contact Mary Etta Reinhart, Pastor for Congregational Care at maryettar@mgcb.org.
