Children's Outreach Ministries continue to pray for the health of all our families and staff.

We love kids at Mechanic Grove. Our Children's Outreach Ministries are a way for us to share the love we have for children with our wider community here in the Southern End. We know how hard it can be as a parent to find quality care for your child while you work. We know how much parents want to make sure their kids have a quality education experience in early childhood. That's why COM exists.

Our child care group home opened in 1984 and grew to be a Center in 2011. It continues to operate as a non-profit community outreach program of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren. MGCCC is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. The license (Certificate of Compliance) is renewed on a yearly basis through an on-site inspection by a licensing representative.

Our Primary Program opened in 2016. Along with educating children in important academic skills like reading, writing, and math we want to help instill Christian values in such a way that the children become productive members of society, striving to make the world a better and more peaceful place.

Wee Friends Preschool was started in the spring of 1975 with a three month trial. The vision of Pastor Earl K. Ziegler, it was promoted by Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren member Marlene Eckman, who became the school's first lead teacher. The school currently includes five classes for 4 to 5 year olds, four classes of 3 and 4 year olds and three classes for 2 to 3 year olds.
