OUR STAFF

In addition to an amazing group of pastors and staff that help to serve the needs of our community and congregation, we also have an outstanding group of staff who work in our Children's Outreach Ministries, our preschool, child care, and Christian Love Around School Program.

Kevin Richardson was born and raised in southern Lancaster County. For the first nine years of his life, he lived in the village of Mechanic Grove. At age 9 Kevin’s family moved to Kirkwood. Kevin grew up in the Providence Church and received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at age 8 in that church. He was
baptized and received into membership in 1976. Kevin graduated from Solanco High School and Millersville University with an accounting degree. In 1989, Kevin relocated from Lancaster County to Arlington VA to begin working as an internal auditor for the Department of Defense, Inspector General. Additional Staff

Janae is a wife to Scott and a dog-mom to Wyatt, their Bernese Mountain Dog. She enjoys fresh cut flowers, reaping a harvest in her big garden and listening to a good podcast. She loves the opportunity to spend time in the kitchen cooking or baking but likes it best when it ends up sharing a meal around the table with family and friends. She is her husband's biggest cheerleader and loves watching him build his trucking business, McMichael Transport. She leads a growing women’s Bible study, D-Group (come join us!) and loves to study the Bible and read a good book. In her spare time you might catch her helping on her family’s farm or coordinating weddings for family and friends.

Mary Etta is a retired banker who enjoys reading and doing puzzles at home when she is not spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.   She and her husband Ed are coffee “snobs” who enjoy sitting down with others over a good cup of coffee.  A good day for Mary Etta would include plenty of time to catch up on reading, caring for the yard and small vegetable garden, and challenging her husband in Words with Friends.

Aliza is a crazy and busy (in that order) mother of four children.  When she can find the time she loves curling up with a good book.  Her ideal day would be spent relaxing at the beach or going hiking, laughing and spending time with her kids.

Rhonda Heidinger
Administrative Assistant

Rhonda started attending Mechanic Grove in 1973 after her family moved here from Langhorne, PA. Over the years, she has served as secretarial assistant, served on committees, commissions, church board and has served the church as church clerk. On Sunday mornings, you may see her in the sound booth, singing with the adult choir, playing handbells (maybe even on the bell tree), leading the children’s choir, or maybe even playing the flute. She has three grown children, two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren (who she loves to spoil) and a pup. In her spare time, she likes to cook, bake, read, cross stitch, crochet, scrapbook, go camping and spend time with family.

Growing up within the Church here at MGCB, Ed’s curiosity peaked after a peek in the sound booth one Sunday. This turned into a passion leading him to accept the call of Sound Coordinator in 2018. Ed had a vision and dream of starting a live stream here at MGCB, little did he know 2020 had plans of its own. You can always find Ed with a cup of coffee in hand, or trying to find where he left it, and ready for a good conversation. He also actively participates in our adult handbell choir throughout the year. In his free time, Ed likes to make candles, paint with diamonds,

or watch a feel-good movie.

Sharon Davis
Custodian

Sharon is a busy mother of three children who are in various stages of high school and college.  She loves to do many things with her limited spare time including spending time with her children, outdoor activities, like gardening and walking and being at the beach.  She loves to read but only when there are no other people to enjoy because she does love being with others.  She takes great care of other people and our church.  If there are people to serve either directly or indirectly, Sharon is probably somewhere around helping them!

Lori loves many different types of music. She spends her time babysitting her grandchildren and helping out in the office for the family business.  Lori’s ideal day would be spent with her family away from the shop – cooking and eating together, relaxing at the beach or by a pool, going for a walk together to explore nature and playing a game or two of Scrabble.
