WOW! What a beautiful weekend we had after so many rainy days! I had some very productive days at home this weekend. It brought some much-needed  life back to me after the last several weeks. I must say I’m a bit buggy to be inside today on another beautiful spring day!

I’ve shared before that it’s “Meeting May” for me, I’ve spent much time with many of you over the last several weeks as we work through various projects for the body. Though some discussions are challenging or time consuming, I’ve been very grateful for this family of ours. Working to the best of our efforts to “stir one another up for good works,” for the good of hearts and the ministry of this church. Thank you to the many of you who have also had a “Meeting May.”

I hope you enjoyed the Lil’ Roots singing “Never Be Shaken” yesterday! If you attended

first service and missed them, hop on the 10:30 live stream and watch them! A special thanks to Keeley Kreider, Addison O’Donnell and Kinsey Rhoads for taking on leading them through their practices for this.

The Sr. High Youth Roots had their “Roots Night Bash” yesterday after church since many of them will be at the Senior Awards Night on Wednesday. Their wrap-up activity was a surprise 70th Birthday Party for one of their leaders, Dave Wimer. Complete with hats with Dave’s face on it and a Dave’s face painting challenge, we had a fun time celebrating someone this group of senior highers admires greatly. Thanks for your service to these teens, Dave!

Friday night is the next Grace Marriage Date Night! Don’t miss out! You can still sign-up to join us! Remember, it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been married, this will bring the best ROI you’ll ever find!

Our very last Roots Night is on Wednesday! Though there’s limited activities, all are encouraged to come for dinner in support of the Jr. High Youth Roots headed to National Jr. High Conference in June! The six teens and two advisors are looking forward to serving you! Thanks in advance for your support of these teens!

We’re running right into summer around here. Don’t forget to stop and “count the fruit.” Where have you seen God moving in our church family recently? What fruit has he been ripening in your own heart lately?

What I’M Learning This Week: Sharing what I’m reading and listening to lately

While looking for a different prayer, I found this one in a book of prayers called “Springboard Prayers.” It’s not available anymore, unfortunately, though the author's podcast is similar in nature (Prayers for a Noisy World).

I’m praying this “Prayer for Outflow” over myself and each of you today. Be encouraged, friends.

“Father,

Time spent in Your presence changes me. In those quiet moments (and sometimes loud) when I truly sink into You, I can even see and feel it happening. But so often I’m going through the motions, rattling off things I need, keeping my distance, and not even pausing long enough to get Your scent on me. As I say “amen,” I move onto the next thing. But Lord, I desire that You would absolutely consume me. May my face shine with radiance from time in Your presence the way Moses did (Exodus 34:29). Father, I long for my physical life here on earth to flow from my inner life with You and not the other way around. I pray for an outflow and a life that cannot be contained. I don’t want to be the me I’d be apart from You. Truthfully, I know the result would be simply no good thing (John 15:5). My heart and hope is to abide in You. Give strength to my frail and weary bones and help me to resist my flesh that convinces me that token prayers sustain me. You alone give me life, Lord. Let it flow through me.

So let it be.”
