Hello again! Back after a little holiday hiatus! I spent some time last week (while it was still sunny) planting tobacco and finishing (finally!) the mulching around our house! The weather this week looks just wonderful! Enjoy these beautifully long days ahead!
It was so wonderful to worship with all of you in a very full sanctuary yesterday! I hope that each of you will find new joys each week as we worship with every generation, blending different worship styles. Don’t miss out on the Sunday School opportunities that are available for you this summer, either! In case you missed them in the bulletin, your options are…
I am excited to release more information next week about our upcoming Men and Boys event! For now, mark your calendars for September 6th! There is a great group of men who are working to bring this event to life! I just really feel like God has something really cool planned for it!
Also coming soon will be your opportunity to sign-up to serve for FAMJAM 2025! We are so excited about the ways this event is already shaping up! In July we’ll release a study plan to help you prepare for our weekend together! Until then, you can see the schedule and registration information on our website or by visiting https://www.mgcb.org/events/famjam-2025.
It was so special to celebrate our graduates yesterday! They really are a great group of kids! Be prayerful for them (and their parents!) as they make the transition to adulthood! Encourage them as they look to find their spot in our church family after youth group! A special thanks to their faithful leaders and the Young Adult class in welcoming them in already!
I passed my three-year anniversary of starting here last week. I’m just really floored that I get to do this. It is not lost on me of what an honor it is to serve and lead our church family in this capacity. My prayer is simply this, that the Lord would help me do the next right thing, in faith, with excellence, for the glory of God. Amen.

What I’M Learning This Week: Sharing what I’m reading and listening to lately
I stumbled across this post on Instagram this weekend. It’s called “A Prayer for June.” I don’t know about you, but my June calendar is somehow already jammed full. It feels like summer won’t be bringing much of a deep breath. But this post shared a simple prayer for the month of June, but really for the whole summer! It was a peaceful, deep breath for me. Maybe it will be the same for you too?
“A prayer for June: Father, we want to live like kids this summer. Help us to play in Your presence, to rest like You’re in control and to ask for Your help everyday. Amen.”

Make Every Week Count: Parenting, Grandparenting & Spiritual Mentoring Resources
Something to Read: Check out these “Truth Cards!” They’d make a great, simple family discipleship tool to help teach the kids in your lives about lies that we’re being taught or believing and what scripture tells us instead!
Something to Listen to: A great little podcast episode from the D6 Podcast! Give “The Role of Older Generations in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship” a listen!
Something to Follow: Amazon Prime recently released a new TV series called “The House of David.” This dramatic rendition of the life of David is well done and you may enjoy watching along as Pastor Kevin preaches about David this summer!
